Entries for the prestigious 2012 Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards are now open!
Are you a rising star of Australian journalism? Details of the 2012 Awards have just been announced by the Walkley Foundation and the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA). Open to all Australian journalists, aged 26 years or under, who are employed full-time or freelance. If you're in your final year at uni, you can enter too! Your work must have been published or broadcast through Australian media outlets between March 16, 2011 and March 16, 2012.
Awards are in five categories: print, television, radio, online and photography. The overall winner receives a trip to the BBC newsrooms in the London and CNN in Atlanta. The winner of the photography category receives a Nikon 1 camera.
The deadline for entries is 5pm Friday 16 March 2012.
