Swinburne Commons provides access to over 180 MathsCasts videos via the Swinburne Commons website; Swinburne on iTunesU; and more recently via YouTube. The MathsCasts videos are intended to support mathematics learning and cover topics ranging from converting percentages to fractions and decimals and roots of a complex number, to Pythagoras theorem and measuring angles. They are produced by the mathematics support centres at Swinburne, the University of Limerick and Loughborough University. The MathsCasts are targeted at prerequisite to first year level students.

The following usage statistics (from iTunes U) highlight the popularity of MathsCasts over the past 12 months:

  • Most popular title is Polar form (4,428 downloads with an average 27.85 views per day)
