Fiction Spotlight on ... Tim Winton
Australian novelist Tim Winton made his mark in adult fiction with tough stories about the vivid experience of youth, for example The Turning and Breath. His work is inspired by landscape and place - most recently the sea and desert of his home in Western Australia. He ties the rough beauty of the terrain to relationships and the intensity of emotions of his characters experience.
