David's 3rd entry - What's happening?
The sun is coming out more often and it's starting to get really warm. Time for Barbeques! Sitting in the yard, having a beer and making a barbie and enjoying the sun is just awesome. Even the beach here is awesome. I drove down to Anglesea and spent a whole weekend just relaxing at the beach and doing nothing for Uni...
I stayed there with a few Australians I know and it was nice seeing how an Australian family lives. Everybody was just so nice and of course a barbeque for lunch couldn't be missed.
Back in Melbourne - I think I've got the best flatmates here in town! They are all older than me and professionals but that doesn't matter. They include me in a lot of events and all. Recently we have all been on a wine tour in Healesville. It was so awesome. We visited five vinyards by bus and tasted far too much wine. The weather was perfect - nice and sunny but not too hot.

Every Australian I know told me that I have to watch the horse races once. And so I did. The day started at 7 in the morning with a champagne breakfast. The horse races were fantastic even though everything was about drinking. Everybody was truly well dressed especially the girls and women. The funniest thing was the going out to party in the evenings. We have been to "The Hawthorn" and I think we were the only ones who wore a suit with tie, etc. But anyway we had a great day.
Talking about drinking - two Australian SwinMates organised a pub crawl around Hawthorn. Pretty good idea, we visited 8 different pubs and had great fun. I spoke to many people I never spoke to before and got know to other international students I've never seen before.
But however, there is a disadvantage studying in Australia. You have to make big decisions almost every day - going to the beach or sit down and learn for the upcoming exams. I tried to combine it, sitting at the beach and learn. No way, that doesn't work. I didn't even touch my book once. Two more weeks till my exams start, I should really start to learn.
But apart from the exams there were many hand-in dates for different group projects. We really had plenty of work to do. In some lectures we had to prepare a presentation in others we had to write a long report about a certain topic. As me and my groups had to hand it in already it feels like the semester is almost over. Indeed it is but there are still the exams coming up.
