Fanny's 2nd entry - Rain, hail or shine?

Posted April 07, 2008 in category Fanny from France

Here in Australia the sun is very strong. You never know when you're burning or not, especially with the ever-changing weather and if there is a little wind you don't feel the heat! So, you forget to put on sunscreen and then you get sunburn. Even walking on the street, if you take too much time, you can quickly turn red ...

I do not know how the Australians do it - they are so white but look completely insensitive to the sun, but also to the weather ...

The weather in Melbourne is a major topic of discussion and questioning for us foreigners. How to choose our clothes in the morning? How can we not get sick with all the changes in temperature? How can Melbournians still be in t-shirts and thongs (flip-flops) with wind, rain or sun shine?

I also explored the flora and fauna of Australia by visiting Healesville Sanctuary and the Melbourne Aquarium. In this short video, you can see some excerpts of these trips...

Hey,
I've just been looking through the exchange stuff and I stumbled across your blog, so I thought I'd comment.

Not true. At least not in my case. I am of Irish/English heritage so I burn quite easily. Especially when I spend all of a 40 degree day at a music festival =P

Also, I like your cartoon style.

Enjoy the rest of your stay =P
