Surf is one of the most popular sports here in Australia. There is a place in Queensland called Surfers Paradise... although I think that that name is suitable for the whole country as it really has great beaches ideal for this water sport!!!
Remember I mentioned that 'special or adventurous attitude' that exchange students at Swinburne have? Well, that is exactly what members of the SUWW try to do. So, what does SUWW stand for??? It is the Swinburne University WaterSki and Wakeboarders club! I became part of SUWW at the beginning of the semester and I just spent an awesomeee weekend away on the New Members Camp. I had never waterski or wakeboard before but that wasn?t a problem because the committee members were excellent instructors and I managed to stand up!!!
I bet that you live in a country very different from Australia and are wondering, "How does it feel to be an exchange student in Australia ?" or "Would Swinburne be a good choice to study abroad?"
