Visual Experiences

Posted April 06, 2011 by Andre from England

If someone asked what my idea of Melbourne is so far, I would reply just mentioning visual experiences: it is easy to forget details and names but pictures stay in your mind forever. The sun setting down the city will surely be one of them, cycling along the Yarra another one.

Even though Nascar is popular in the US I had never been to anything of the sort. So this was my first racing experience and it was definitely one to remember.

Week 2 in Melbourne by Andre

Posted September 20, 2010 by Andre from England

It's two weeks today since I have arrived in Melbourne: on the one hand it feels like I've been here for months since every day has been full of things to do (and the list is not completely ticked off yet), but on the other one it feels like only a couple of days as I still haven't fully realised where I am, nor what I'm doing.[Read More]

Unforgettable month

Posted June 10, 2009 by Anri from Japan

Hey, how's it going? I have just finished my 1st semester at Swinburne. Now I have 2 exams and a term paper in June. I can't believe over 3 months have passed already!

What I did in May was firstly studying! Before my first presentation in Australia, I got so nervous and actually can't even remember what I said, but it was the best academic experience for me this semester!

During the week, I studied hard and had fun on every weekend. I was at an AFL game, two big crazy parties - a pyjama party and a costume party - and on a trip to Phillip Island which was much colder than I expected.

Hey, welcome to my second blog! Time flies when you are having fun! It is really true?

Two months have already passed! That means that I have about 8 months left still.

However, most international students are going to get back to their own country in only 2 months... So far, I'm having quite a good time.[Read More]

Happiness is only real when shared

Posted May 05, 2009 by Dan from Mexico

Are We There Yet? For how many months have I been planning this trip? For how many years have I been dreaming about coming to Australia? And now I'm here! We, the exchange students, all are!

Some have travelled far. Some are missing people back home. But all that doesn't matter now. It is time to enjoy our stay here, it is time to take every opportunity, every single moment and turn it into an experience.[Read More]
