COHST Advisory Board (C.A.B.) Formed

The COHST Advisory Board is the most recent addition to COHST's growing number of the quality assurance measures.

The board's purpose is to provide the Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Training (COHST) advice and support relating to the development, monitoring and review of COHST training and courses. The aim of the group is to ensure that courses continue to reflect industry needs.

Functions of the board:

  • Course participant feedback
  • Industry feedback
  • Respond to changing needs of industry
  • Respond to changes in legislation
  • Course analysis and advice in Safety Training
  • Code of ethics
  • Trainers accreditation
  • Training packages
  • Assessment, validation and RPL
  • Development of training resources
  • Speakers at conferences, workshops and other events
  • Review assessment tools used in training courses
